Change your mindset, change your outcome. I strongly believe that we are our own worst enemy when it comes to what we tell ourselves we can and can’t do. We are more likely to tell ourselves that something is impossible rather than telling ourselves it is possible. But as Audrey Hepburn once said “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’”.

Here’s the deal, everyone around you will try to give you advice as to what they think you can and can’t do. Their influence will play a part in your own personal beliefs. But, the real determining factor is not what others say, but rather what you say to yourself.

Whenever you tell yourself you can’t do something it will immediately become impossible for you to accomplish. This isn’t a question, once you tell yourself you can’t you won’t be able to no matter what. Your mind will subconsciously prevent you from achieving your goal.

If you can flip the script and tell yourself that you can and will it will immediately become possible. You will start looking for solutions to your problems and you will find ways to make things happen.

The secret lies in how you speak to yourself. Listening to others is never a bad thing, but don’t take it to heart. Take what they say as either advice or use it as motivation to achieve your goals. But do not let others determine your fate.
