So it has come, the end of 2020 is upon us. This year has been an interesting one to say the least. Many people might even claim it to be the worst year of their life. And that would be understandable considering everything we have experienced this year. Over the course of the year though, I have discussed many topics in my blog, one of those topics being self – talk and changing our inner monologue. With that being said, why don’t we change our inner monologue and our perception of 2020.
2020 has been a year that has tested everyone, from a raging pandemic shutting down the world and putting our lives on hold to murder hornets we have seen it all. But through it all we have managed to prevail. We have pushed forward and kept fighting. So let’s take a minute to look back at this year and rather than think of all the bad that happened let’s look at the good that it has brought.
2020 has tested us all and through these tested we have prevailed. We have become stronger and more resilient. We have grown and become more adaptable.
We all stepped into 2020 with hopes and dreams and we all had our plans halted in their tracks. But we have found ways to prevail. Technology has allowed us to be with each other even when we can’t physically be with each other. Some of us learned new skills while others took time to get back in shape. Many of us learned to differentiate between what we need and what we want.
With 2021 looming ahead of us we have no idea what to expect. But, we have made it through 2020 a year that brought us everything from world stopping pandemic to murder hornets and we have prevailed. So, let’s take a second to learn from 2020, there have been many sad moments for many of us. Most of us have been effected by 2020 in some way, shape or form. But, let us not forget what we have learned and how far we have come. Remember, every cloud has a silver lining, and while 2020 has been rough we have made it through, we have grown and we have become stronger.
